Orsat Ligorio (b. 1985; MA, University of Zagreb, 2009; PhD, University of Zadar, 2014; PhD, University of Leiden, 2016) is Professor of Classics at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. His research focuses on the comparative-historical linguistics of the Indo-European languages, primarily Greek, Phrygian, Latin, Dalmatian Romance, Sanskrit, and Serbo-Croatian. To date, he has published more than seventy scholarly works, among which the most notable are The Problem of Lexical Stratification in Adriatic Studies (2014) and Prehistory of the Greek Language I (2022), and the Overview of Indo-European Languages (2024).
